Lead Pastor - Eric Brown

Eric and his family came to Brainard in March 2020, after he previously served as a pastor at churches in Alabama and New Jersey. He and his wife Clarissa both grew up in the Chicago area, and they have three sons, Thomas, Grant, and Andrew. Eric earned a Master of Divinity from Bob Jones University, and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He loves to read, explore cities, play sports, cheer for Chicago sports teams (Cubs, Bears, Blackhawks, Bulls, Northwestern, and Notre Dame, in that order), roast coffee, bake unhealthy foods, grill meat, and spend time with Clarissa and the boys.

Associate Pastor - Israel Ledee

Israel first came to Brainard in the fall of 2015 and came on as a pastoral intern in January of 2017. He is currently serving as an elder. He is married to Mariana and holds an undergraduate degree in pastoral ministry from Moody Bible Institute. He is currently pursing his MDiv from Mid-America Reformed Seminary. He enjoys reading, occasional travel with his wife, playing basketball, grilling, and a warm cup of coffee. Israel was born on the island of Puerto Rico, but was raised in northeast Ohio. He is also a fan of all the professional sports teams of Cleveland, OH (please pray for him).

Worship Pastor - Clayton Sanderson

Clayton has served as worship leader at Brainard since November of 2015. He and his wife Amy have two daughters, Gwendolyn Hope and Lucianne Kate. Clayton holds a Bachelor of Music in church music from Union University in Tennessee. Prior to coming on staff with Brainard, Clayton served as a minister of music in Tennessee; he also worked with a church plant in Chicago's Pilsen neighborhood. While in Pilsen, Clayton completed Gospel for Chicago, an apprenticeship designed to equip pastors, planters, and elders through theology and preaching courses and ministry experience. He enjoys playing with his daughter, cooking with his wife, classical music, cycling, woodworking, and reading history and theology.
