Tony Payne and Marty Sweeney invite you to join them for a workshop here at Brainard on Thursday, April 20! The workshop will run from 8:30 am - 4:00 pm. The cost is $65, which includes breakfast, lunch, snacks, and materials. Breakfast will be available beginning at 8:00 am.

What is a Vinegrowers Event?

A Vinegrowers training event is a one-day workshop to think through and discuss implications of the disciple-making call that all churches and indeed all Christians have. The topics discussed during our day will help any ministry leader or team evaluate their work in light of the great commission.

This will be a day when we will talk together about the commission we have from the Lord to make disciples and what that could look like in your local ministry context. In other words, this will be a workshop and not a conference.

Who Should Attend?

This workshop is open to anyone. We encourage you to bring as many as possible from your ministry team (pastors, ministry staff, elders, women in leadership, small group leaders, etc.). As we’ve run these through the years, some of the best feedback is around the team-building experience of spending a day thinking on these ideas together.

How Should I Prepare?

As with most parts of life, the day will be most beneficial if you come with some preparation on the basic framework we'll be building upon.* That framework is articulated in the books The Trellis and the Vine (TATV) and The Vine Project (TVP). If you need copies of the ebook or would like to purchase copies of the physical books, please consider doing so through the Matthias Media website. If you would like to purchase physical copies for your team to prepare for this workshop, please email Marty Sweeney directly and he will arrange for a discount on your order.

For those coming from out of town and in need of overnight accommodations, a block of rooms has been reserved at a group rate at the Holiday Inn, just around the corner from the church. The deadline is April 7; use the link to book or call with group code BAP.

*Whether you are looking to review from a previous reading of the book(s) or need a quick catch-up guide, here are some chapters Marty suggests reading if you aren't able to get through the books beforehand.

· TATV - Chapters 1-2

· TVP - Phase 1 (pages 41-154)

· TATV - Chapters 9-10
